It is with deep sadness that we bid farewell to our colleague Sotiris Nafpliotis, one of the most important figures and personalities in our industry, a trademark we would dare to say of our profession, with vast experience and professional career, but also a wonderful person. Words are few when one considers the contribution of Sotiris Nafpliotis, who inspired absolute respect in all his contacts, both in the Greek market and abroad, he was a particularly beloved person and always by our side, with a friendly, advisory, supportive disposition, a guide for many of our colleagues, with profound knowledge that he wanted to share.
Active and militant until recently, full of appetite and ideas for the upgrading of our industry, he served the role of commercial representative, with deep commitment and love, with vigor and pioneering spirit. He was at the forefront of all developments and struggles, from the early years of the founding of PEEAK, of which he served as President for decades, and since 2014 as Honorary President in recognition of his great contribution.
The Board of Directors of PEEAK and all fellow members of the Union, express our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
Sotiris Nafpliotis will remain in the thoughts and hearts of all of us, for his values, ethos and dynamic character, as a pioneer, fighter, beloved friend and colleague.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 6 at the Ritsona Crematorium at 11:15 a.m. according to his wishes.
